Ora-Tech Systems Aims To Become Worlds First Oracle Platinum Partner in 2010

Oracle Corporation USA has announced a major change in its partner structure as of December 31st 2009. The revamp of its Partner Model will include all new partner levels (Platinum, Gold, Silver, Reseller) to replace previous titles such as Certified Advantage Partner etc. etc.

The new levels of partnership will also bring an added degree of clarity to customers when choosing amongst one of Oracles 10,000+ partners worldwide for providing licensing, implementation and support of its various products.

The levels of partnership will be accompanied by what are best known as 'specializations' which a partner may attain via Oracle Corporation.

Over 40 specializations have been announced as potential areas for partners to prove themselves and become certified through a series of Sales, Pre-Sales, Implementation and Support certifications specially tailored for each. These specializations include areas like E-Business Suite Financials, Oracle Database 11g, Oracle Enterprise Edition to name a few.

With a proper focus, partners will be able to specialize in areas where they have their strengths and look to expand into in the future.

It is important for customers to note, that to attain a specialization in a particular area via Oracle partners will have to provide a required number of sales and implementation references for projects completed over the last 12 to 18 months. Making specializations extremely relevant to customers trying to decipher whether or not a partner is capable to complete a particular implementation and support it adequately.

Ora-Tech Systems is currently working to attain our stated goal of becoming the first Platinum Partner (requires specialization in 5 different Oracle Products simultaneously) in the world and is competing with 10,000 Oracle Partners worldwide for this elusive title.

  Adocate General Sindh Digitizes Operations

Successful Implementation of IT Project, Tailor Made For Advocate General Sindh Office Sets National Standard, Serves As a Model For Other Provinces.

Press Brief – 20th March 2010

The inauguration of the newly-implemented IT turn-key project at Advocate General (AG) Sindh, under the planning and supervision of the Government of Sindh Information Technology Department has set the bar in advancement using IT to digitize records of on-going cases handled by the AG Office and dramatically boost the efficiency of it’s day-to-day operations. With the successful implementation of this project, Advocate General Sindh (AG) becomes the first AG office in the nation to adopt digitization of its operations at such a sophisticated level.

The system, a world-class solution implemented by Ora-Tech Systems (Pvt) Ltd is based on Oracle Universal Content Management System (UMS), provides advocates of the Advocate General Sindh office unprecedented access to any and all documentation pertaining to judicial cases currently being fought by its offices via any browser based internet enabled device.

The project, envisioned by the Sindh IT Department and implemented in collaboration with Ora-Tech Systems (Pvt) Ltd, dramatically enhances operational transparency regarding the AG Sindh’s daily activities on each case. The centrally held records will be stored digitally at the Advocate General Sindh head office in Karachi.

This central database of digitized case files serves to remove issues caused by the temporary unavailability of paper records and in doing so ensures that a running history of the AG Office’s current cases are preserved for future reference. This feature will be of great benefit to advocates and experts in the Adovcate Generals office seeking to analyze the merits and issues of precedence in legal matters pertaining to relevant ongoing cases of a similar nature to the ones they are fighting themselves.

The system also includes other noteworthy features, such as the digital tagging of the AG Office’s reference materials and volumes; this will allow advocates to instantly track the location of volumes required for research and furthering legal arguments in current cases.

The project also equipped the various Advocate Generals Offices in Larkhana, Sukkur, Hyderabad and its headquarters in Karachi with the latest in Hewlett Packard (HP) Hardware and connectivity secured by SonicWALL firewall to ensure the system remains constantly accessible and can be frequently updated by the Advocate Generals office.
